MOO Print Ltd

Join us for an action-packed evening looking at the design and research challenges faced by those working in taboo industries. Between the talks, there will be an interval for networking and some fun activities. Afterwards, we’ll be heading to The Castle Pub, right next to Farringdon station. This evening is being curated by our mischievous Events Manager, Caroline.

Matt Curry and Jesmond Allen - "Going End to End with Lovehoney"

Speaker

Matthew and Jesmond will share their approach to understanding Lovehoney’s new customers. They’ll walk through their end-to-end approach: how they researched and built an experience map, then plotted the impact points and gaps, and used data analysis to form hypotheses and page redesigns.

Matt Curry is Head of e-Commerce for Lovehoney. He’s seen things you wouldn’t believe actually exist let alone are bought online, is not easily embarrassed and has worked in e-commerce for over 15 years. Previous to perverting the nation, he sold frozen food to the elderly. He’s a statistician by trade, a perfumer by fancy and a constant delight at parties. You can find him on Twitter @ecommatty

Jesmond Allen has more than 20 years experience as a design leader and UX specialist. She is a freelance user experience consultant, helping clients shape their digital strategy and build design teams. Previously, she was Head of UX at Bristol consultancy cxpartners. Jesmond is co-author of the practical UX manual, Smashing UX: foundations for designing online user experiences. She has a passion for evidence-based design and loves the innovation and excellence that putting people at the heart of the design process produces. You can find her on Twitter @jesmond

Jonny Rae-Evans - "Design, death and sex (workers)"

Speaker

Jonny will focus on the challenges of designing for stigmatised, vulnerable, disenfranchised people. He’ll explore how working on taboo subjects and with people that society tends to ignore, can lead to life changing design solutions.

Jonny Rae-Evans was recently appointed as Head of Product Innovation at Big Lottery Fund. Before that he was Head of Design & UX at Reason Digital; an agency that has worked exclusively over the past 10 years in creating digital solutions that have a positive social and environmental impact.
