Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with UXPA UK, providing a range of responsibilities and time commitment:

Join the Committee

Committee members are elected by UXPA UK members for 2-year terms and are expected to attend monthly committee meetings and events (unless they do not reside in London).

Committee elections take place every year (November-December) for open positions.

An overview of the election process:

  • Nominations are open for 3 weeks and advertised in the UXPA UK newsletter, Twitter and this website
  • Voting is open for 3 weeks for all UXPA UK members
  • Candidates are elected by majority vote
  • If no candidates stand for a position, the committee has the responsibility of appointing (by vote) the most suitable and willing UXPA UK member

The Executive committee (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer) is elected from existing committee members by the committee.

If you have any questions about the election process or a specific role, please talk to one of our committee members.

Become a Project Lead

Project Leads enable more UXPA UK members to contribute without the commitment of joining the committee. Leads are appointed by the committee on a project basis and have responsibility for short or long-term projects.

If you are interested in helping out as a Project Lead, please get in touch or talk to one of the committee members at our next event.

Volunteer at an event

We hold monthly events and host a series of workshops throughout the year. We need volunteers to help us tweet, take photographs, record video, serve refreshments, and other tasks on a regular or ad hoc basis. Find out more on volunteering.

Sponsor an event

Events only happen with the generous support of our sponsors. If you are a business or organisation interested supporting us, then please get in contact.

Attend our AGM

All our members are invited to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in early November to hear about what we’ve done and help us plan the year ahead.
