What we do
The Accessibility Services Team is currently made up of 20 consultants. The day to day work of a consultant is varied, ranging from providing in-depth auditing of web/mobile websites and applications to carrying out design, wireframe and specialist assistive technology reviews. We are looking for people to join us who have a passion for accessibility and usability. Along with this passion you will have an analytical and inquisitive mind with an interest in the current trends, techniques and developments in the field of web accessibility.
Ideal candidates will have:
• Knowledge of accessibility and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Your technical skill set will be tested as part of the sifting and interview process.
For our mid and senior level you will have at least 2 years’ experience in digital accessibility, technical quality assurance or similar.
A background in Usability, User Centred Design or Inclusive Design is also a good skills match for this role.
Pension: AbilityNet provides a pension scheme in line with UK legislation with qualifying employees automatically enrolled within 3 months of commencement of service.
Holidays: 25 days holiday plus UK Public Holidays applicable in the UK. Holiday entitlement increases with service by 1 day per year after 5 full years’ service, up to a maximum of 30 days.
