A deep dive into my personal Tinder analytics

Speaker

After 6 years of hilarious stories and constant failure using the dating app Tinder, I decided to note down 34 variables against 119 of my 400+ matches. Left with a master spreadsheet of 4,046 pieces of information to work with, I analysed the data with a professional analyst in search of trends and interesting insights.

Molly India Nye: Senior UX Designer at Proagrica

Over the years I’ve worked both in the UK and abroad with companies, agencies and start-ups as an art director, designer, illustrator and most weirdly, a face and body painter. In 2015 I started my career in UX / UI design on the RBI graduate scheme and have worked across multiple B2B brands. I’m currently the Senior UX designer for Proagrica, a global data company in the agricultural industry.

I graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2014 with a First Class Honours in Graphic Design.

Dating Apps in 2020: More Woe Than Whoa!

Since reporting for SEXTECHGUIDE over the past year, the online dating world appears to be constantly filled with drama – much like relationships, I suppose. One day it’s a private data exposure, the next they’re selling your private data to advertisers, alongside constant reports of online harassment and plenty of unsolicited dick pics. Wasn’t online dating meant to make the world a better and easier place to find love? I will expose some of the ways that dating companies are getting it wrong… but don’t worry, it’s not all doom and gloom. Love will win. There are just some lessons to be learnt!

Oli Lipski: Sex Tech Researcher at SEXTECHGUIDE

At University Oli spent her degrees researching the history of sexuality through science fiction, queer culture, law and politics, writing her final thesis on the heteronormativity of the sex robot industry. Since graduating in 2017, she became a member of the Women of Sex Tech and has worked with multiple sex-positive companies; as a journalist for SEXTECHGUIDE, editor for Beducated, content writer for MysteryVibe, sensuality strategist for WISP, and social media for Sonder&Beam and Lush Coaching.

Jemma Ahmed, Head of Insights at Magic Lab, will share insights into the evolution of this category, and some of the user research toolkits and methods which she and her team are employing to help understand love and the internet.
